The unit has significantly increased productivity, making G-Fill product at the customer?s joint venture site at Dysart in Central Queensland.
Rockcycle director Dale Spedding says the SCS 205S produces G-Fill of 32mm minus aggregate which is a lower grade re-sheeting material used in roading.
?The 205S is in a closed circuit loop with an impactor and is pumping out about 380 tonnes per hour, so we are pretty happy with the output,? he said.
Dale added that the 205S is an extremely user-friendly machine, is well built and safe to use. ?We won?t be going back to the machines we used to operate. For the price, we are getting a very cost-effective screen. It is simple to operate, robust and very versatile.
?One of the impressive things about the 205S is how easy it is to operate. Sometimes it took us three quarters of a day to change screens on our old equipment. Now, if we want to change product it can take two of us just two hours to change-out the screens. This makes a big difference to our operation and we have more productive crushing time and less downtime.
?Set-up is much easier as well. One guy can have it set up and operational in around 15 minutes, which is a big saving in labour costs for us.
?Another feature is the simplicity. If you want to make three products instead of four, you can convert from a triple deck to a double deck with the pull of a lever. This changes the direction of the transfer conveyor belt and takes material from the oversized belt and transfers it to the medium sized side conveyor. It is quick and easy.
?Overall we are very happy with the 205S, and we are looking at purchasing another unit to resource our next joint venture opportunity.?
