Kinder Australia’s field application specialists and engineers have identified two solutions that can work together effectively to tightly seal problematic areas along the conveyor; K-Snap- Loc and K-Containment Seal.
K-Snap-Loc is a practical and cost-effective solution to dust control for all conveyor belt speed applications. Its unique design can be applied into most conveyor systems. The Uni- Strut mounting can be welded to your existing system, then the specialised seal snaps into place.
The K-Snap-Loc engineered polyurethane’s inherent “memory-set” is used to apply downward pressure onto the belt’s surface to create a fine tight seal, so there is no need for manual adjustment. Because of the low coefficient of friction there is a power saving by producing 60 per cent less drag on the conveyor belt than traditional skirting rubber.
K-Containment Seal is engineered with low friction polyurethane and resistant to wear. It features a slotted arrangement, which allows for easy installation adjustment. This is added protection so that the material cannot be entrapped, leading to premature belt damage. The lightweight K-Containment Seal should be installed inside the chute (transfer point) and continue to where it becomes more stable.
K-Containment Seal enhances the success of the outer seal by reducing the high internal pressure experienced inside the chute and protects the vulnerable chute edges from damage.
