The Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA) is hosting the first NSW Northern Region Sub-Branch Networking Dinner Meeting for 2023.
Taking place on Thursday 16th February 2023, between 5:30pm and 9pm, the event which is to be held at C.EX Coffs, will include a two-course dinner, and presentations from sponsors Komatsu and guest speaker, Dusko Bajic, regional manager from the Industry Capability Network, NSW.
IQA Members & Guests are invited to the sunny Coffs Coast for the NSW Northern Region Sub-Branch Networking Dinner and to hear about the latest projects underway in Northern NSW, which include;
- The Coffs Harbour Bypass Project, which has construction planned to be undertaken that offers many economic, social and environmental benefits during construction and the range of opportunities for our members to be able to participate.
- The Oven Mountain Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Project, west of Kempsey – providing clean energy generation and storage capabilities, ensuring a reliable, resilient, and renewable future energy supply for NSW.
- The Northern Rivers Reconstruction Corporation, managing the rebuilding of communities by coordinating planning, rebuilding and construction work across the Northern Rivers, providing a focus on essential assets, infrastructure and housing.
The IQA recommends attendance for senior site executives (SSE), all quarry site personnel and associated roles, extractive industry operators, suppliers and anyone with an interest in the extractive and associated industries.
Registration for the event is $85 for members and $100 for non-members.
Registrations for the networking event close on Thursday 9th February 2023.
Additionally, on the same day the IQA is hosting the Northern NSW Plant & Equipment Workshop at Holcim Quarry, Boambee.
The Plant & Equipment safety compliance and best practice Workshop will provide an understanding of the safety issues associated with supervising the operation of plant and equipment in quarries.
