Holcim Australia’s decorative concrete brand, Geostone, has officially launched The Melbourne Range, a collection of 28 new decorative concrete products in various colours and styles to be used in infrastructure projects.
In a release from Holcim, the company states that the new Geostone products represent a range of decorative concrete mixes that have been developed in collaboration with local architects, builders and our approved installers.
“The Melbourne Range will perfectly complement any style of home, commercial or civil project,” general manager for concrete in Victoria for Holcim Australia Matt Shinners, said.
The Melbourne Range is grounded upon natural Australian stone sourced from regional Victoria and features a spectrum of colours from Hamptons-inspired lighter tones to modern black on black.
The new range, which has been named after the earth’s constellations, highlights the move to ultra white and extra black tones – a decision that the company states has been generally well received by the building and design community.
“We are really excited to launch our new range for Geostone in the Melbourne, South West Victoria and Mornington Peninsula regions,” Shinners said.
Simon Ellis, director of Simon Ellis Landscape Architects, was one of the architects featured in the design who spoke about the longevity and sustainability options that the new range provides.
“The new Geostone range is well-grounded, using earthy mixes of stones to deliver concrete that will stand the test of time. With the possibility of some sustainable choices it’s a very attractive option”, Ellis said.
All products in The Melbourne Range can be exposed, honed, or polished when finished, meaning that the full range can be used both internally as polished flooring and externally in driveways, entertainment areas, parks, and recreational applications.
The new designer collection aims to create a spectrum of choice for consumers to be creative when designing their interior or exterior spaces to their preferences.
