Holcim Australia has been named as one of the finalists in the Melbourne Airport Excellence Awards.
The Australian-based construction materials producer was named as a finalist in the “excellence in environment, social and governance” category. The nomination is for its work on the Taxiway Zulu 2.0 project in collaboration with Beca, Donald Cant Watts Corke (DCWC), Melbourne Airport Airfield Development, and its project client Fulton Hogan.
“We’re thrilled to share that Holcim Australia has been named a finalist in the Melbourne Airport Excellence Awards, in the Excellence in Environment, Social & Governance category,” Holcim posted on LinkedIn.
“The Taxiway Zulu project encompasses 300,000m² of new pavements across extended and realigned taxiways in the north of the airfield, enabling future expansion of the international terminal. It also includes the Northern Access Route, featuring new airside perimeter security fencing, screening facilities, and upgraded road infrastructure, all designed with sustainability and long-term resilience in mind.”
The award winners are set to be announced on November 13 at a gala ceremony organised by Melbourne Airport.
“Congratulations to the Melbourne Airport team and partners, suppliers of our airport community, who are our finalists for 2025,” Melbourne Airport said.
“Each of our finalists is recognised for the inspirational contribution they have made to Melbourne Airport’s vision, to be Australia’s favourite airport destination.
“Our judging panel now has the difficult task of determining who will be the winners of the Melbourne Airport Excellence Awards for 2025. We wish all our finalists the best of luck.”
