Holcim Australia will partner with the national mental health organisation, headspace, as part of a new initiative to support mental health programs.
The partnership will see Holcim Australia provide financial support for headspace programs, as well as provide opportunities for Holcim Australia’s employees to engage in training, workplace programs and volunteer opportunities for mental health support.
“Our purpose is to build progress for people and the planet, and The Holcim Spirit guides how we do that. Our NextGen Growth 2030 strategy is about creating sustainable progress for future generations, with a strong focus on people and communities,” Holcim Australia and New Zealand chief executive officer George Agriogiannis said.
“I’m pleased that our newly created partnership with headspace is a direct reflection of that commitment; caring for the communities in which we work, supporting young Australians, and making a real difference where it matters most.”
The partnership, which has been launched to coincide with world mental health day, will help more young Australians and their families access timely and inclusive support. Holcim’s financial contribution will enable headspace to expand its evidence-based programs throughout Australia.
“Our evidence-based approach helps us continually refine mental health, physical health, drug and alcohol, and vocational services for 12–25-year-olds,” headspace chief executive officer Jason Trethowan said.
“We’re excited to work with Holcim to reach even more communities, strengthen family-inclusive practice, and foster greater wellbeing across Australia.”
