FM Conway has officially joined the VINCI Construction network after the deal was announced late last year.
The two companies have officially signed the agreement, which will see VINCI fully acquire FM Conway, and it became official on January 31.
Under the agreement, FM Conway will continue to operate as a standalone business, with the support and resources of VINCI’s network.
Following the deal’s completion, Joanne Conway stepped away from the company and Andrew Hansen will become its managing director. Mark Goldsworthy retains his position as chief financial officer while Xavier Lansade and Scott Wardrop join FM Conway’s board.
“This is an exciting new chapter in FM Conway’s story, opening up fantastic opportunities for how we deliver for our clients and for communities. We’ve always been a company that has pushed boundaries and embraced new opportunities,” Hansen said.
“Over the past 27 years, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing firsthand what this business can accomplish. Now with the additional firepower of VINCI Construction behind us, I’ve no doubt that our people will continue to achieve great things. The future is very bright.”
FM Conway, founded in 1961, is the latest addition to VINCI’s network, which includes Seymour Whyte in Australia. The addition expands VINCI’s capabilities in roadworks, civil engineering, asphalt, and the UK market.
“I am very pleased to welcome the FM Conway team to VINCI. I have known the family and senior team for a long time, respected the culture, the innovation and professionalism, which complements the businesses of VINCI Construction,” VINCI Construction’s UK chief executive Scott Wardrop said.
“I know we will learn from each other, and firmly believe that successful and sustainable infrastructure services businesses, must have knowledge of their whole supply chain – FM Conway strengthens our capability.”
