Quarrying operators are always on the search for ways to make processes more efficient, and the new bucket line from ALLU Group is at the forefront of innovation and productivity.
ALLU Group has expanded its range of material processing buckets with the introduction of a new concrete screening and crushing bucket, purpose-built to handle rebar-contaminated demolition material directly onsite.
Unveiled at the recent CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas, the new bucket attracted strong interest from contractors and operators seeking more efficient ways to process demolition waste without relying on additional plant equipment.
The new release complements existing ALLU solutions such as the ALLU D and M-Series, widely used in mining and quarrying for their ability to combine screening and loading in a single step.
Designed for real-world demolition conditions
The ALLU Concrete Screening and Crushing Bucket is engineered to process challenging materials such as reinforced concrete, bricks and reclaimed asphalt.
Designed for 25–45t excavators, it enables operators to crush and screen material in a single step directly onsite. By combining crushing and screening functions into one attachment, the bucket reduces the need for separate pre-crushing or screening equipment. This approach minimises double handling, lowers transport requirements, and streamlines material flow across the site.
“Contractors don’t need another machine to manage on a crowded jobsite; they need a practical way to turn rubble into usable material with the excavator they already have,” ALLU R&D project manager Antti Rautamies said.
“This bucket is built for the real world: fines-heavy material streams, tight spaces, and reinforced concrete that doesn’t arrive ‘clean’.”
The new bucket is designed to handle feed material up to 300mm and deliver production rates of up to 100t per hour, even when processing rebar-contaminated rubble. A key feature is its ability to manage reinforcing steel without frequent interruptions, helping maintain consistent throughput in demolition and recycling applications where material contamination is common.
To accommodate different application requirements, the bucket incorporates a changeable counter blade setup, allowing operators to select output sizes of 0–50mm and 0–100mm. This flexibility enables contractors to balance fragment size and productivity without reconfiguring the overall processing setup.
The introduction of the concrete bucket aligns with broader industry trends towards on-site recycling and circular construction practices. By enabling waste materials to be processed and reused at source, contractors can reduce haulage, landfill dependency and overall project costs.
