The Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA) has had its 2025 annual general meeting.
CCAA chief executive Michael Kilgariff said that the association’s strong performance underpins its stable leadership and fundamental importance of the multiple industries it represents.
“The heavy construction materials industry is essential to Australia’s economic future. Every major transport project, housing initiative, renewable energy asset and piece of social infrastructure relies on the materials the sector provides,” he said.
“CCAA’s job is to ensure the policy environment recognises that importance. In 2025 we delivered nationally consistent, evidence-based advocacy at a time when governments were reshaping major regulatory and planning frameworks.”
Holcim Australia chief executive officer George Agriogiannis will continue as chair of CCAA. Adbri chief executive officer Paul Headd will be the newly elected deputy chair.
The meeting acknowledged the work of Penetron chief executive officer Mario Panuccio, whose term as board member for CCAA concluded.
CCAA welcomed Master Builders Solutions chief executive officer and managing director for Australia and New Zealand Diego Martinez as a new director to the council.
Kilgariff said that CCAA will enter 2026 with strong momentum from the previous year and will have a clear focus on securing practical outcomes.
“Functional [Environmental Protection Biodiversity Conservation] reforms and long-term resource planning will be central to maintaining the secure, proximate access to materials that Australia’s infrastructure pipeline requires,” he said.
“CCAA will continue to work closely with governments to deliver balanced, workable and nationally consistent outcomes.”
Kilgariff also said that CCAA’s strengthened capability and clear direction mean it is well placed to deliver another year of high-impact national leadership.
“The sector we represent is foundational to Australia’s prosperity,” he said.
“With stable governance, strong member engagement and a clear strategic agenda, CCAA is ready to continue elevating the industry’s voice and delivering practical, meaningful outcomes for 2026 and beyond.”
