Skeleton Hill’s burial ground investigation reopened

The cultural significance of Skeleton Hill’s claimed burial ground has motivated Jeanette Powell, Victoria’s Aboriginal Affairs Minister to reopen an earlier investigation.  In a letter to The Friends of Skeleton Hill, she explained her call for a cultural heritage audit for Holcim’s Skeleton Hill quarry. “It is apparent that the quarry may have greater impact on cultural heritage that was thought at the time the plan was approved.” Read more »
