Supplier open day highlights relocation, new offerings

Earthmoving equipment supplier Onetrak has recently celebrated re-opening its business in Western Australia and has launched a new product line at an open day event.

The full day event took place on 23 November in Bunbury, WA and was attended by various construction equipment personnel from Tigercat, Striker and PLC Earthmoving.

The Onetrak building was temporarily turned into an equipment demonstration site and visitors were given the opportunity to drive and test a range of equipment, including a Hidromek excavator and backhoe loader, a Tigercat skidder and a Dressta dozer. A Striker jaw crusher was also on display throughout the day-long event.

Commenting on the re-opening, Onetrak managing director David Hazell said the company had chosen to relocate to southwest WA – as opposed to Perth – to focus on expanding business within the quarrying, mineral processing, civil construction and industrial material handing industries.

“The re-opening of the Bunbury facility is due to our investment in a much larger and purpose-built facility with heavy truck access, overhead cranes in the service department and a larger inventory warehouse,” Hazell said.

“Our existing customers certainly appreciate the investment Onetrak is putting into this region to ultimately support their business better and the market always welcomes another serious equipment distributor to provide more choice.”

He added the expansion into WA meant there were few other suppliers who could offer similar extensive product choices.

“This opening in WA means there is another full line distributor in the market that can provide quality machinery for the extractive industries,” Hazell explained.

“Onetrak now distributes front-end loaders, excavators, rockbreakers, dozers, mobile screeners, impact, cone and jaw crushers plus conveyor systems.

“We don’t believe many other quarry suppliers can offer this complete line up.”

New product offering

Onetrak recently introduced Hidromek, a global brand of construction machinery, to its product range. At the open day event, a Hidromek HMK220LC hydraulic excavator was able to be test-driven.

Commenting on the range, Hazell offered the following comments.

“The quarry industry will be interested in our 30 to 50-tonne excavator range that features heavy-duty features such as full ROPS/FOPS cabins, front window protection, boom and arm drop-valves and full track-guard options.”

He added Hidrokmek’s 26-tonne wheel loader, which has recently been launched globally, would be available locally.

“The HMK640 wheel loader will be available in Australia early in the new year and it can be configured as a sales loader or a face loader,” he said.

“This loader has received several international design awards and will be well suited to the Australian market and the high specification demands from the quarry industry.”

The full range of Hidromek excavators will also be available in Australia in early 2018.
