Taking the stockpile to greater heights

When space became an issue but productivity needed to grow, the team at Eubank Asphalt Paving & Sealing from Charlotte Tennessee, USA, went searching for solutions.
At a trade show they found the Astec stand and soon discovered the solution to their problem with the telescoping SuperStacker from KPI-JCI.

Eubank needed more space, less handling and reduced costs. The KPI–JCI SuperStacker offered an effective solution for preventing stockpile segregation and because of its innovative telescoping feature, it allows the stockpile to be higher, which not only takes up less of a footprint but is also much better for drainage.

In addition, the SuperStacker can stockpile up to 30 per cent more material than a normal stacker in the same amount of space. Using the SuperStacker Eubank were able to eliminate the manpower that used to have to feed the stacker and also stopped double handling the product.

“If you can find a piece of equipment that improves your quality overall while reducing your cost, its absolutely necessary. Our KPI–JCI SuperStacker has done just that,” said Mr Eubank.

The KPI–JCI SuperStacker is just about to land on Australian soil, which is not only a first for Astec, but also a first for any machine of its kind in the country. Astec Australia is a part of the Astec Group of Companies who prides itself on R&D and continual innovation.
