New fabrication "super-business" Sevaan Group opens

Two Sydney-based fabrication companies Proline and Wisby & Leonard have merged to create what they describe as a new “super-business”: Sevaan Group.
The newly unified company will provide repetitive sheet metal machining and parts engineering services for numerous industries, including quarrying and mining applications. Sevaan Group will also provide a new inventory-holding and management service for its customers.

Sevaan Group CEO Tony Panrucker believes the merger will allow the newly-formed business to carry out both domestic and international expansion plans.

“A great synergy is formed because there was a traditional competitiveness between the technologies on both sites, but by consolidating them we now have a super-business capable of meeting needs across all industries,” he said.

The new company boasts a range of high quality equipment, including several world class Mori Seiki machining centres, Bystronic laser cutting machines, Trumpf laser cutters, and a CMM precision measuring centre able to verify parts measurement down to one micron. By combining their technological assets, the merger gives the new business the capability to address “just about any type of job”, providing once-off prototyping and sampling, multi-process engineering to repetitive and accurate ISO9001:2008 output.

The creation of Sevaan saw Proline and Wisby & Leonard consolidate all its engineering, jobbing and machine processing to one site, while converting the other into a painting and powder coating plant. Panrucker insists that not only will all staff retain their positions, but will have the opportunity to further hone their skills.

At the opening of the new venture, Panrucker is optimistic: "With an excellent management team alongside us, and good crew of experienced employees, and the marketplace desperate for accurate yet cost-effective supply of engineered and re-engineered product, we are positioned to take on work not just from anywhere in Australia but from all around the world."
