Motion Industries confirmed it entered a definitive agreement to acquire Perfetto Manufacturing and SER Hydraulics.

The transaction, expected to be finalised by the end of the month, will see the two Canadian companies join Motion subject to the closing conditions being met.

“After more than 30 successful years, we want to thank our loyal customers and employees for contributing to our success,” owner Gerald Perfetto Senior said.

“The motion team is comitted to continued investment in the business which will bring great opportunities to our customers, employees and communities which we work and live in.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the interest that Motion has taken in our business and wish everyone continued success.”

Perfetto was established in 1986 while SER Hydraulics began in 1978 in Sudbury, Canada. The two businesses made their names in engineering, servicing and delivering hydraulic/pneumatic cyclinders, complex power units and other fluid power system assets.

GPC North America president, which is the parent company of Motion, Randy Breaux said the acqusitions would help Motion in heavy industries including mining and extraction.

“We look forward to welcoming these two terrific organisations, especially the talented employees,” he said.

“These world-class experts will be key to our market growth strategy and we look forward to extending our positions together as a premier leader in industrial solutions.”
