Komatsu confirms details of iVolve Pty Ltd acqusition

Komatsu Australia has revealed a new acquisition that will boost its fleet management offering for the quarrying sector.

The company has welcomed iVolve Pty Ltd to its portfolio. iVolve Pty Ltd delivers fleet management systems for the mining and quarry industry with the deal allowing it to access a broader market and grow its customer base.

The Queensland company started its journey in 1995 in the ports industry before gaining a strong foothold in the Australian mining and quarrying industry in the past decade.

Kim Parascos, CEO and co-founder of iVolve, said the deal reflected Komatsu’s belief in the iVolve brand’s potential.

“We are thrilled to become part of the Komatsu family,” Parascos said.

“We have enjoyed a long working relationship with Komatsu and believe this agreement aligns with our goals and vision. Most importantly, Komatsu’s resources will help us achieve our growth goals.

“As a Komatsu brand, we aim to widen our market presence, elevate our product line, and preserve flexibility for our customers. Our existing customers will also benefit from this new alignment, as we leverage the expertise, commitment and reach of Komatsu to improve our offering.

“iVolve will continue to offer solutions on a wide range of platforms in support of their expanding customer base. iVolve was founded on the core values of “Simple, Intelligent, & Commitment” and this continues to drive everything we do. We will foster our brand and culture through this new phase of our development.”

Komatsu is continuing their focus on strategic, local investments with the acquisition of Queensland company iVolve, a leader in the provision of fleet management systems for the mining and quarry industry.

iVolve co-founders Kim Parascos and David Eagles will continue in their current roles as chief executive officer and chief technical officer respectively, ensuring continuity in product development and customer relationships.

Komatsu Australia chief executive Sean Taylor said the acquisition reflects Komatsu’s reputation as a leader in the fleet management space.

“Australia is renowned as a global centre of excellence for mining, quarrying and construction technology. This acquisition will provide global scale for iVolve and enable the ongoing development of iVolve’s products and solutions into the future.”
