Kinder welcomes IQA Young Member Network

Kinder

Sharing an active partnership with the Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA), Kinder Australia shared values of embracing upskilling, networking and continuous professional development, through hosting an event with the Young members Network (YMN).

In conjunction with the IQA YMN event, Sean Kinder, Kinder business development manager, lead IQA’s newest recruits through Kinders Braeside premises.

The tour provided an exclusive opportunity for the group, primarily from a maintenance, engineering and administrative background to get an insider’s view of the intricacies and productivity aspects of Kinder’s warehouse operations.

The session concluded at Kinder’s new interactive showroom where the group was able to actively engage in a workshop style presentation and training by Sean, Charles Pratt, operations manager and Jack Cain, mechanical engineer.

Topics of discussion included dust control, safety, engineering capabilities as well as demonstrations of Kinder’s innovative engineered solutions that have been successfully installed and designed to suit quarrying environments.

The highlight on the day included a “installation challenge”, with a few young members testing their skill on the K-Sure Belt Support System, on the demonstration trailer, conveyor rollers were taken off, adaptors and slider rails were added to the brackets.

For many years Kinder has supported the IQA through sponsorship of the Health and Safety conferences throughout Australia, Victorian Branch Student Presentation Award nights as well as joint training webinars on industry specific topics. Kinder has extended thanks to the IQA for the unique opportunity to be part of the networking event and to showcase Kinder as a trusted partner in the supply of high quality and reliable bulk materials handling solutions.

“Our association with the IQA is very important, Kinder stands united in our efforts in educating members and future leaders of the quarrying and extractive industry”, Christine Kinder, marketing manager at Kinder said.
