The IQA has partnered with Cements Concrete Aggregates Australia (CCAA) and Resources Health and Safety Queensland (RSHQ) to bring the 2023 QLD Quarrying and Mining Safety & Health Conference.
Held at Pullman Brisbane King George Square on Friday 2 June 2023, the one-day interactive program is set to address important current safety and health issues relevant to the quarrying and mining industries.
A trade exhibition will be held in conjunction with the conference, with the conference aiming to address the following:
- Provide a forum to share information on safety and health issues relevant to the quarrying, mining, and concrete sector,
- Share experiences and knowledge relating to workplace practice and policy,
- Learn new ways to provide a safe and healthy work environment.
The IQA recommends attendance for, quarry and mine workers, quarry and mining company representatives, risk managers, safety & health personnel, contractors, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, consultants, students, academics and anyone interested in safety & health in the quarrying, mining and related industries.
