Young Member Network provides opportunity for building connections

young member network

The Young Member Network is giving young members of the extractive industry who are a part of the IQA the chance to network and make crucial connections with others in the industry.

The IQA South Australian Branch is inviting  IQA young members or quarry industry professionals 35 years old or under to tour Austral Bricks in Golden Grove, SA.

Attendees of the tour will get an inside look into an industry leading manufacturing plant and the innovations which are being made in the manufacturing of products from extracted materials. Bricks are one of the oldest known building materials, and yet still continue to be one of the most durable and sustainable, through Austral Bricks those attending will be exposed to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals that the industry strives towards.

Sustainable building design offers greater energy and resource efficiency in addition to providing carbon off-sets. The tour will be a great opportunity to see raw materials turned into this valuable resource, bricks, and bridge the gap between operation sites and manufacturing.

The Young Member Network network was established so like-minded young people can get to know their peers, share ideas and experiences, build key industry contacts and develop long-lasting connections.

The day will conclude with networking at the Blue Gum Hotel in Fairview Park.
