Epiroc completes acquisition of RNP México

Epiroc has acquired rock drills and related spare parts manufacturer RNP México, strengthening its presence in Latin America.

Epiroc has completed the acquisition of rock drills and related spare parts manufacturer RNP México.

RNP México is based in San Luis Potosi state, Mexico. It has branches in Chile and Peru.

The company develops, manufactures, and sells rock drills and related components, serving mining and construction customers mainly in Latin America.

RNP México has about 370 employees and had revenues in 2021 of about USD 28 million ($40,563 million).

The agreement was first announced in June 2022 and subject to the completion of certain closing conditions.

The conditions of the agreement have now been satisfied.

“This acquisition will strengthen Epiroc’s offering of rock drills and spare parts primarily in Latin America,” Epiroc president and chief executive Helena Hedblom said.

“We look forward to welcoming RNP México to Epiroc.”

The transaction is not subject to a disclosure obligation pursuant to the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
