Sandvik upgrades tracked mobile plant solution

Sandvik Mobile Crushers and Screens has upgraded its QA Series product offering with the three-deck tracked mobile plant, the QA452.

Sandvik Mobile Crushers and Screens has upgraded its QA Series product offering with the three-deck tracked mobile plant, the QA452.

The QA452 features two triple deck inline screen boxes with equal size screen decks, each providing 100 sq ft of screening area.

The plant utilises Sandvik’s Doublescreen technology, which can outperform traditional screens by up to 30 per cent, offering tailored rock processing solution for the quarrying, recycling and mining industries.

It has independent screen angle adjustment and patent pending hydraulic screen separation. This allows the primary screen to be hydraulically separated to gain better access for maintenance and enable faster screen media changes.

The QA452 includes the addition of an oversize cross conveyor to enable greater oversize material extraction. The cross conveyor can also be reversed to allow the plant to function as a two-deck screen with oversize and mid overs discharged together.

Each screen deck features end tension screen media, using Sandvik’s unique mesh tensioning system. This results in faster screen mesh tensioning and removal to, improving overall uptime.

Sandvik WX rubber media combines the high accuracy of wire screens with the durability of rubber to extend wear life by up to 10 times and offer up to 50 per cent faster installation time compared to wire mesh (when tested under certain controlled conditions).

Likewise, the screen panels are all equal so that that screen media can be easily interchanged between decks.

The QA452 also comes with Sandvik’s My Fleet telemetry system and a seven-year data subscription as standard. This offers around the clock fleet management, geo-fencing and remote support.

The QA452 also comes as a ‘e’ model, the QA452e, which offers a more sustainable solution. It comes fitted with the hybrid drive option, giving the flexibility to choose the most economical and efficient energy source, such as diesel or electric mode. This leads to lower operating costs and reduced carbon footprint.
