Metso Outotec has upgraded its cloud-based tool Metrics to bring better connectivity and optimisation benefits to its customers.

Metrics is an innovative cloud-based tool, used for real-time monitoring for aggregates customers’ Lokotrack mobile screens and crushers.

Customers can expect new Metrics features such as 24/7 access to real-time data, a maintenance module, geolocation, and C02 tracking.

Updating new features and troubleshooting can be done remotely.

The improvements will support customers in making data-driven decisions that impact their operations.

The upgrade will allow the company to develop a next-generation solution for their customers.

“We wanted to bring quantifiable value and deliver more production hours and tons to our customers,” Metso Outotec standard crushers vice president Merja Tyyni said.

The improvements are part of Metso Outotec’s Planet Positive portfolio which aims to provide customers with durable, energy-efficient equipment and services that have a long life cycle.

“The key to building sustainable operational efficiency is having the correct information to make decisions and select the right combination of services to lift the bar,” Tyyni said.

Metso Outotec is a frontrunner in sustainable technologies, solutions and services and does so by improving their customers’ energy and water efficiency, increasing their productivity and reducing environmental risks.

Metrics is yet another tool that will help the company achieve this.

Metrics generates a stronger link between customer operations, product management and product development.

“The new Metrics will enable us to take equipment features and customer experience to a new level by improving our customers’ equipment’s performance and increasing both uptime and the overall machine life cycle,” Metso Outotec vice president of Lokotrack solutions Kimmo Anttila, said.

New Lokotrack machines will come equipped with Metrics, however those wanting to upgrade their older equipment will be able to do so.
