Castella Quarries has advertised two job vacancies on a countryside quarry north-east of Melbourne, as the company expands across its hard rock resource with a 100-year lifespan.
One hour’s drive from the city, in the small town of Castella, its namesake quarrying business has been operating for more than 20 years.
The two positions to be filled are an experienced quarry manager and a site supervisor of production and maintenance.
The former must have proven leadership experience, appropriate quarry management qualifications and skills, be computer literate and have a knowledge of OHS Policy and Procedures.
The site supervisor must also have experience in hard rock quarrying including the operation and maintenance of associated plant and equipment.
The supervisor will interact with all employees and sub-contractors on site and be responsible for production output, maintenance and day to day operations.
The company currently produces aggregates for all kinds of construction applications in the region and intends to do so for many more years to come.
