Rammer technology to help cut downtime

Rammer

The use of advanced hydraulics, materials technology, strength calculations, impact wave theory and production technology have cemented rockbreaker solutions provider Rammer’s position in the Australian mining, quarrying and construction industries.

Rammer, the leading supplier of smart rockbreaker technology, was the first on the market to add a remote monitoring system for hydraulic rockbreakers.

The OEM offers powerful and durable rockbreakers, equipped with the innovative RD3 remote monitoring device, 28 boom system options and specialty demolition attachments. There is a Rammer solution for virtually any breaking application that requires a boom-mounted percussive tool.

The RD3 monitoring device is attached to the rockbreaker, pinpointing the exact location of the equipment and reporting back to the customer detailed information about the rock breaking operation in real time via the cloud-based My Fleet platform.

Having real time data and detailed information about the rock breaking operation on hand is a tried and tested way to cut downtime, proactively maintain equipment to avoid costly repairs and to improve the overall efficiency of operation. That is why Rammer developed the RD3 monitoring device for hydraulic rockbreakers.

“Operationally, RD3 provides the information that businesses need to get the very best from their rockbreakers,” David Scurr, sales manager at Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology said. Rammer is a subsidiary of Sandvik.

“Customers can simply log into the MyFleet platform to see all the data on operating hours, how the rockbreaker is being operated and required service intervals helping them manage service periods and minimise machinery downtime by scheduling maintenance during times of least impact on production”.

RD3 is a standard feature on all Rammer Excellence Line rockbreakers. It is also available as an option for the Rammer Performance Line and as a retrofit-kit for older Rammer rockbreakers.
