Sandvik has revealed Las Vegas won’t be the only place to experience its MINExpo Exhibition in 2021, with an online microsite to be opened for the complete virtual experience.
The idea behind the microsite spawned from the success of the company’s “Innovation in Mining Virtual Event” in September 2020.
It will open with a welcome video from Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions president Henrik Ager, before unveiling a raft of videos, photos, and product information for the virtual visitors to peruse.
This, as well as a schedule of livestreamed interviews, can be viewed on LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube.
Once MINExpo opens on 13-15 September, further content will be available to absorb including a virtual booth with a 3D version of the Las Vegas exhibit.
The exhibit measures 1876m2 and for the virtual visitors it will be full of clickable icons displaying introductory product videos for each of Sandvik’s dedicated product divisions.
These include Mining and Rock Solutions, Rock Processing Solutions, Materials Technology, and Manufacturing and Machining Technology.
For each division, Sandvik will have major market specialists available to answer any tough questions.
Sandvik’s simulation game – Service Hero – will also be available on Sandvik’s MINExpo microsite and will showcase its smart inspection tools through interactive demonstrations.
“Nothing beats meeting customers face to face and being able to showcase all of our latest developments in-person,” Ager said. “However, we also understand that not everyone will be able to travel to Las Vegas, so that’s why we will also be providing a rich digital MINExpo experience.”
