Polo Citrus celebrates latest appointment

Polo Citrus has appointed a new national business development manager as it looks to expand and invest in its future and that of the extractive industry.

After a career across multiple sectors, including banking, quarrying, and eventually sales and marketing, Debbie MacDonald fell into her new role at Polo Citrus with ease.

Polo Citrus managing director Brett Aisen said investing in his company was imperative, and MacDonald perfectly represented the idea Aisen had for the future.

“Debbie has a wealth of experience and knowledge, being involved in the extractive industry for over 20 years now,” Aisen said.

Debbie MacDonald has had an immediate impact as Polo Citrus’ national business development manager.

“She has experienced both sides of the coin, having been involved in the operation of quarries and then most recently working for suppliers to the industry in sales and marketing.”

Working in both Queensland and New South Wales, associating with Polo Citrus along the way, MacDonald almost knew the company inside-out before her position began.

She said she was looking forward to working with Polo Citrus customers instead of being one herself.

‘It was an opportunity too good to be true. We had used Polo Citrus Dust Suppressants for well over a decade, I knew how they worked, and I also knew they did a great job,” MacDonald said.

“Polo have some amazing customers and they are just great to deal with. Having been in the industry for so long, I’ve made a lot of friends along the way and it’s just wonderful to be able to find a job that is so satisfying, helping people I admire and respect.

Aisen added that MacDonald had begun the role strongly, fulfilling her purpose in bolstering the strong brand behind Polo Citrus and its dust suppressant technology.

“We are so excited to have Debbie on board and although it has only been a couple of months, Debbie is already having a positive effect with our current customer base, and customers who were previously supplied by us have now returned because of Debbie,” Aisen said.
