Tricon’s latest high value, high power pugmill

Tricon Equipment has an impressive line of mobile crushing, screening, recycling and conveying equipment, boasting a long-standing relationship with brands like Lippmann and MDS International.

Adding to its array of equipment is the Phoenix track-mounted Pugmill.

Coming in at 13 tonnes, the Phoenix Pugmill is equipped with a diesel-powered 74kW 4.4 Cat engine, has a hopper capacity of 6m3, a 1000mm wide feeder belt and a 1200mm wide conveyor belt, as well as 400mm wide steel tracks and a 250L fuel tank.

The pugmill has a transport width of 2.3m, meaning it can fit on the back of a standard semi-trailer without the need for a vehicle pilot – making it cheap and convenient to transport.

Able to produce up to 300 tonnes per hour of OMC and cement-treated pavement materials, the Phoenix Pugmill can be calibrated to produce road material with the exact ratio of moisture, cement or lime needed for each individual project.

This machine is used for controlling moisture and cement and/or lime additives to improve the longevity of road pavements in the design construction phase.
