Metso Outotec enhances on-site employee skillsets

 

Metso Outotec has announced its global training certification program for its field services professionals, which will include its employees servicing quarry sites.

More than 3000 of the technology solutions company’s workers will be supported through the program, which is aimed at improving their knowledge and skills across Metso Outotec’s products and technologies.

According to Metso Outotec’s services business area president Markku Teräsvasara, the development program will enable standardised expertise globally.

“With the development program, the expertise is officially validated and standardised across the world,” he said.“We have a unique opportunity from being able to combine strong maintenance support with process knowledge.

“To achieve our ambition of being the preferred services provider in our industry requires us to strive for unified development of industry-leading competencies based on high performance and safety standards, and resulting in exceptional customer experience.”

Three training levels will be provided under the program that will hone in on skills used in on the job scenarios.

The program is designed and managed by Metso Outotec Training Academy, which provides overseas global technical and product training for the company.

Metso Outotec has a suite of technological solutions for quarries, including crushing and screening contractor services.

The company was ranked eighth in the Corporate Knights 2020 Global 100 Index of the most sustainable companies in the world.
