As a prelude to its traditional three-day outdoor event, the QMJ Group will deliver a Hillhead quarrying exhibition digitally on 30 and 31 March, 2021.
Hillhead Digital will allow the global extractive industry to connect and engage with the multi-stream conference from the web.
A total of 40 free-to-attend seminars and panel sessions will be conducted across the two-day exhibition.
The exhibition – New Horizons – Building the Recovery – will provide insights into the factors that will shape the extractive industry within the next decade, including digitalisation, decarbonisation and infrastructure.
The Institute of Quarrying will also run a dedicated stream that explores technical and leadership skills that are ready for the forthcoming industry transformations.
In a press release, Hillhead organiser QMJ stated that visitors will have access to 500 virtual booths that provide information on industry equipment and service solutions.
Meetings can be pre-arranged via Zoom, along with other digital resources, including download brochures, new product videos and conference handouts.
QMJ Group managing director Richard Bradbury said Hillhead Digital will allow the industry to connect during a period of limited travel.
“With exhibitors unable to showcase their products and services at physical exhibitions over the last year, Hillhead Digital will provide a dynamic platform for the community to reconnect and share all of the positive developments that will help shape the construction recovery,” he said.
“Our digital-format event will extend Hillhead’s international reach and increase its coverage of the technology sector and younger demographic groups. It will celebrate the enormous contribution the sector makes to the UK and provide an exciting prelude to the physical event we look forward to delivering from 22 to 24 June, 2021.”
