METS companies join forces to push grants

Australian companies LarkinSykes Advisory, Stellar Consulting Services and AR Consulting are collaborating to assist the mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sectors apply for business incentives.

The three METS companies have developed Unlock, which is a strategic grant writing service that covers Australian regional and metro hubs.

They aim to take advantage of the Australian Government’s $50 million stimulus package which supports investments in manufacturing technologies and processes and is part of the $1.5 billion Modern Manufacturing Strategy.

Unlock is a strategic grant application service that identifies incentive strategies that support specific businesses in the METS sector.

LarkinSykes Advisory managing director Clare Sykes said the mining supply industry can benefit from the available government grants.

“Unlocking government incentives can be challenging,” she said. “We are collaborating to create this service as we recognise the mining supply industry is well positioned to leverage the grants on offer.

“We are all experienced in the application and administration of grants, and we understand the constraints businesses face in terms of time and resources to adequately prepare content for grant applications. The timeframes for these major government grants are short and we do not want to see the sector miss out.”

Stellar Consulting Services director Adrienne Rourke said the partners of Unlock are using their industry experience to scale-up METS small to medium size enterprises in the regions.

“Regional areas are recognised as key to the economic recovery of the country and we want to support regional businesses access the range of available incentives to help them innovate, grow and diversify,” Rourke said.
