Holcim announces job vacancy for NSW/ACT General Manager of Aggregates

Holcim is seeking a candidate with strong experience in the aggregates industry to fill the critical role as General Manager for the aggregates division in NSW/ACT.

The role will require an experienced individual from the industry to take the reins of Holcim’s New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory aggregates business and deliver complete responsibility for its leadership, growth and profitability.

The successful candidate must display full profit and losses accountability for the region and be part of Holcim’s national aggregates leadership team.

Holcim Australia & New Zealand has provided services for the infrastructure, construction and mining sectors in Australia for more than 100 years. The successful candidate will join the company’s 3000-strong team.

Holcim is particularly interested in candidates who have prior experience in the aggregates sector, along with competence in the construction materials industry. The successful applicant can expect to be awarded with a generous salary package.

“We’re typically looking for someone who has that general manager experience already or at a similar level,” Holcim Australia & New Zealand talent & sourcing manager Wesley Woodman told Quarry.

“The applicant needs to have strong leadership skills and be willing to lead the business commercially and our teams across multiple sites across the state. “

Holcim Australia & New Zealand’s parent company LafargeHolcim is a global industry leader in supplying concrete and aggregates internationally.

“Joining Holcim in Australia means joining part of a wider company with strong global presence,” Woodman said of LafargeHolcim. “This can provide the opportunity for both national and international career progression.”

Holcim is interested in applications from candidates across both Australia and New Zealand.

“The role is located in New South Wales, but we’re keen to speak to people across the country in similar roles,” Woodman said. “No matter where you’re based in Australia or NZ, relocation is available for the right candidate.”
