Quarry Supplier Directory 2020-21 – don’t miss out!

There is still time to register your business for the 2020-21 Quarry Supplier Directory, which closes in a few weeks.

Time is running out for members of the supply chain to the quarrying industry to register their details for the 2020 Quarry Supplier Directory.

The Directory has been a mainstay of the Quarry magazine stable for two decades. It is the only publication in Australia dedicated to providing comprehensive information about products, plant and equipment, and services to the Australian quarrying and extractive industries.

“In recent years, the Directory has featured more than 150 product categories and over 1000 brands from more than 500 suppliers,” Quarry editor Damian Christie said.

“From air separators to aerial surveyors, crushers to classifiers, haul trucks to hydraulic attachments, magnets to modular plant, stackers to surveying equipment, transmissions to trommels, and valves to vibratory equipment, the Supplier Directory has it all covered.”

Christie said that with the economy in a downturn because of the almost debilitating impact of COVID-19, now was not the time for members of the quarry supply chain to be ducking for cover.

“If your business has been featured in the Directory in the past but reading this article is the first time you’ve heard about it in a while, then I urge you to check with your marketing team ASAP. They should have been receiving our recent notifications via email about re-registering for the 2020 Directory,” he advised.

“If they haven’t spoken to you about the Directory, or are unaware of it, then you risk missing the cut-off at the beginning of June!”

Living document

Christie explained that registrations for basic listings in the Directory are free of charge. “However, there are also opportunities for suppliers to increase their coverage in the book by taking advantage of framed listings and a number of other advertising options,” he added.

“For extra incentive, suppliers that register for framed listings or advertise will be entitled to a premium showroom online, which they can use to publicise and promote their other products and services over the course of the year.

“It doesn’t just begin and stop with the printed Directory,” Christie added. “Over the years, the publisher of the Directory – originally Gunnamatta Media, and now Prime Creative Media – has strived to make the Directory a ‘living’ document.

“That is, an online showroom enables you to update details about your brands, products and inventory throughout the financial year, giving them ongoing currency and making your job easier when the time comes to putting the next update in the following year’s printed Directory.”

Christie urged suppliers to contact the Quarry Supplier Directory team ASAP to get the ball rolling. “You definitely don’t want to have a ‘Not happy Jan!’/Yellow Pages moment with your marketing staff!” he said.
