It was an ?epic fail?, as Gen Y would say, after around 100 kilograms of explosives failed to topple the huge 4000 tonne concrete silo, which had been used to store grain.
After the explosion, the 100 year old silo was left looking decidedly like Australia?s answer to the leaning tower of Pisa as it steadfastly refused to fall to the ground.
After employing other pieces of construction and deconstruction equipment such as an excavator and some old fashioned push and shove, the silo finally gave in about 40 minutes later.
