The Rammer brand was renamed Sandvik in 2007 when the entire product line of breakers and attachments from the Lahti factory in Finland came under the Sandvik Mining and Construction umbrella.
Over the past few years the entire product range has been updated, developing new designs based around customer requirements, including solutions aimed at maximising attachment uptime.
Dave Scurr, Sandvik Construction?s Australia/NZ business line manager for breakers, boom systems and demolition attachments, explained that the the Rammer branding returned due to customer demand.
?For more than 30 years Rammer has enjoyed a level of brand loyalty that is virtually unique in the field of construction equipment ? and that popularity has never decreased,? he said.
Kevin Renfrey, principal dealer with Renex, Rammer?s South Australian distributor, and part of Sandvik Construction?s Australia and New Zealand breakers and attachments dealer team, said that Australian and New Zealand customers welcomed the return of the Rammer name.
?The Rammer brand in Australia is incredibly well known and respected, having been a market leader for over a decade,? he said.
?As dealers, we are very pleased to see the Rammer name back in the market, backed by the strength and resources of the Sandvik organisation.
?It?s still the name generically used to refer to Sandvik?s breaker range, and so it makes a lot of sense for us,? he said.
?Our customers know the Rammer brand, along with the quality and reliability built into each Rammer breaker.?
Following the rebranding, Rammer-branded hammers and attachments will continue to be available through Sandvik Constructions? existing sales and distribution channels throughout Australia and New Zealand.
