This money is set aside to support up-skilling and re-skilling of current and future workforces and much of it is still available to quarrying and extractive businesses.
The funds are available to up-skill and train new and existing employees. This could be a good opportunity for companies to consider employing non-traditional groups such as females and mature age workers.
The Fund will cover qualifications ranging from Certificate III through to Advanced Diplomas in a complete range of operational and professional streams.
Additionally, Certificate II qualifications can be approved for funding if targeted at new workers. It covers up to 66 per cent of the costs of these qualifications.
Enterprises interested can contact their local SkillsDMC Workforce Planning & Development Manager through the new SkillsDMC?s website: www.skillsdmc.com.au
