Unlike the shipping containers that have been adapted for explosives storage at some sites, Irvine Engineering’s magazines are purpose-built to be compliant with Australian Standard AS2187.1-1998.
Each magazine is made to specification and features 6mm steel plate walls and 10mm thick doors, properly designed ventilation, insulation and timer lining that exceeds current Australian Standards, and a highly secure door locking system.
