Protestors shoot nude Xmas card

Ten ladies and one bloke got their kit off for an unusual Christmas greeting card, which featured the North Dufferin Agricultural and Community Task Force draped only in a placard bearing the words, ?Stop the Megaquarry?.

The Christmas card ? which some holidaymakers might rather not receive! ? is designed to draw attention to the group?s opposition of a multi-million dollar quarry near Shelbourne in Canada by group Highland Companies, which, if approved, would be North America?s second largest.

The group says it has over 119,000 signatures opposing the development, claiming the quarry would threaten groundwater supplies and several rivers, disturb traffic on local highways and damage the local tourist industry. The developers claim this isn?t the case, and that the site would be reclaimed once quarrying is finished.

The group?s chairman, Carl Cosack, wears only a strategically-placed cowboy hat. Canadian Christmases are, traditionally, also far colder than Australian ones.

?It was a lot of fun,? Cosack told the Toronto Sun. ?They are a great bunch of gals and a great photographer.?

The Christmas card was sent to the head of a Boston-based hedge fund, Beauport, who are primary backers of the project.

?We haven?t heard from him,? added Cosack.
