Miners’ Health & Wellbeing 2013 will build on the 2012 event with practical, jargon-free and user-friendly interaction. The event is at the Stamford Plaza, Brisbane from 29 to 30 April, 2013. It includes a number of case studies from companies such as Chevron, Downer Mining, Rio Tinto and Xtrata Coal.
The topics covered will stretch from mental health and fatigue management to injury management and prevention, with topics also covering ?fly-in, fly-out? issues, the implications of an ageing workforce and strategies to deal with musculoskeletal disorders.
The plenary speakers all have expertise in the health and safety field of the major companies but also from other relevant areas such as the Queensland Departments of Justice and the Attorney General and the New South Wales Trade and Investment Mine Safety area.
The presentations will cover a diverse range of topics that will assist with integrating workplace health, safety and wellbeing into an organisation and promoting this to the workforce.
