New Holland product manager Kieron Thomson said that the wheel loaders are designed from the ground up to deliver high performance and low running costs. ?Not only do they offer versatility with skid steer attachments, they also put the biggest skid steers to the test with a powerful lift on the forks.?
Two models will be launched. The W80BTC will be able to handle 1.5 tonnes on pallet forks while the smaller W50BTC will manage over a tonne. Both models are longer, wider and heavier than skid steers, meaning bigger loads, bigger buckets and overall better loading performance.
Other features include stability, even at 40 degree articulation, better weight distribution, a low centre of gravity and rear axle oscillation, a Rexroth load sensing and pressure compensating system for smooth operation and easy boom lift control and bucket tilt. The W80BTC is also fitted with high speed transmission (35 km/h) and a ride stabilising system for the loader boom.
?Although New Holland?s compact wheel loaders and skid steer loaders are designed for different purposes, given the multi-function capacity of both, they can cross over in some applications and our new line of compacts will simply give operators an added choice,? Kieron Thomson said.
