New centre to boost industry productivity

Sandvik Mining?s new Orange High Productivity Centre, located in New South Wales, incorporates a repair and rebuild facility, a paint booth, and a large warehouse operation.
It has been designed to improve safety and service to the mines in the region, as well as to service equipment for customers outside the region.
?Our Orange High Productivity Centre ? as one of four of these centres nationally ? will set new standards for safety and environmental performance, service efficiency and turnaround times for our Central West customers,? Sandvik Mining?s Australia sales vice president Jim Tolley said. ?It has been designed with one purpose ? to align with our customers? goals and boost their productivity.?
The new facility will act as a warehouse for the entire Central West region of New South Wales, and will be able to provide immediate replacement of parts and components for all Sandvik equipment.
The availability of spare parts also means that the facility will be able to offer rapid and cost-efficient repairs, and rebuild equipment to an as-new condition with full factory warranty.
Sandvik?s fully-trained field service team will also have a fleet of mobile service vehicles at their disposal to ensure field service coverage extends to Cobar and Broken Hill.
?Our field service technicians can carry out machine inspections, advise on operational and maintenance practices, and assist customer technicians,? Tolley said.
?Whether it?s scheduled or unscheduled maintenance calls, our field service technicians have the in-depth product knowledge and rapid support response to get customers? equipment up and running as soon as possible. We realise that trained, customer-focused technicians are vital to maintaining equipment and delivering productivity targets.?
