Loader boosts power, cuts fuel, emissions

The six models in the Dash 7 range are powered by Komatsu’s Tier IV interim engines that combine a high pressure common rail fuel injection, variable geometry turbocharger, cooled exhaust gas recirculation technology and diesel particulate filter to produce more power while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

The supplier’s SmartLoader Logic technology constantly evaluates load and working conditions from sensors throughout the driveline and work equipment and modifies torque to ensure that no excessive power is used, increasing efficiency.

An auto idle shutdown feature, dual mode engine power select system and variable displacement piston pumps also save fuel.

A redesigned cabin offers improved driver comfort while the “gullwing” engine doors enable easy access for checks and servicing.
