There are 13 variants in the range beginning with the ZX130, which has an engine rating of 73.4kW and operating weight of around 14.5 tonnes. The series culminates in the ZX890, which has a 377kW engine and weighs more than 85 tonnes.
All models are equipped with a 3-pump, 3-valve TRIAS hydraulic system – redesigned from the HIOS III system – which Hitachi says provides higher yields with more efficient fuel consumption compared to previous units.
Operator comfort improvements include a sliding seat for more leg room, an ergonomically designed console and a heated air suspension seat that minimises operator fatigue by absorbing vibrations.
Additional models include the ZX140W and ZX170W wheeled and ZH210LC hybrid excavators.
