Entry level stacker range demonstrates promising results

The Telestack Aggregates division has launched the AggStack range, a series of value-added mobile conveying systems designed to meet the needs of the quarry, aggregate, sand and gravel markets.

The range combines the experience and portfolio of Telestack and feedback from Telestack dealers and customers, and formalises a series of entry level radial telescopic stackers, radial fixed length stacking conveyors, truck unloaders, hopper feeders and link conveyors.

The AggStack series organises the range of equipment that is already available into one product group and offers a range of options to enhance the functionality of the unit in line with the application, if required.

When the project began, Telestack conducted intensive market research to ensure it understood the needs of aggregate consumers – from an owner/operator perspective and rental fleet use. The feedback from the aggregate industry was consistent – it wanted reliable, strong and fuss free equipment that didn’t cost the earth. And so, the AggStack range was established.

FILLING A ‘KEY GAP’

The AggStack radial telescopic conveyors range has a proven record of operating in various aggregate applications around the world (eg stockpiling, bay loading, linking and reclaiming).

The mobility options of the unit allow for the operator to utilise this technology anywhere on-site, ensuring a high production capacity and 30 per cent more stockpile capacity on the same footprint when compared with fixed length/height conveyors.

The AggStack radial telestacker range can be used to operate with mobile systems with optional tracks and an integrated gen-set for ultimate flexibility when operating with mobile equipment. The unit can also easily integrate into a fixed plant system, to ensure a quality finished product and large stockpile capacity, reducing dust segregation, degradation, contamination and compaction of the material.

The radial telescopic conveyors range can also be fed from mobile hoppers, which allows the operator to stockpile material directly from wheel loaders, reducing the operation of the wheel loader on-site for stockpiling and allowing for a larger stockpile while reducing fuel consumption.

Commenting on his recent purchase of an AggStack TS36 x 140 Low Tail (42m x 900mm) radial telescopic conveyor, Michael Tripolone from Tricon Mining Equipment, who represents Telestack in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, said the AggStack range filled a “key gap in the aggregate market. We received the TS36 x 140 Low Tail (42m x 900mm) radial telescopic unit in August and already the appetite for this unit in the marketplace is apparent, and we had even sold the unit before it had arrived in Australia.

“Its durability, functionality and production rates are really reassuring and I can already tell that this range will sell well in our market.

“Although it is an entry level unit, you can still add options so that it meets your specific needs. Overall, the customer is really happy with this unit and we are looking forward to additional sales in 2016.”

The AggStack range of radial telescopic stackers is available in lengths of 32m, 42m, 46m, 50m and 58m, with capacities ranging from 200 to 1000 tonnes per hour.

As the AggStack range is designed specifically for the aggregate market, the unit helps eliminate/reduce segregation, degradation, contamination and compaction of the material, which makes the AggStack range suitable in all aggregate applications.

In addition, the option of a number of PLC automatic stockpiling programs provides the operator with a versatile, economic and reliable stockpiling system that offers the ability for radial windrow, incline windrow and radial conical stockpile formations, which offers a larger stockpiling potential and a radial stockpiling potential of up to 270° for maximum stockpiling.

Shane Czerkasow, the general manager of OPS Screening and Crushing Equipment, which services the Western Australian and Northern Territory segments of the market, said he was very impressed with the machines.

“When I saw the AggStack radial telescopic at Hillhead I knew it was ideal for the Australian aggregate market,” Czerkasow said.

“It ticks all of the boxes in terms of functionality, strength, price and options available to make it tailored specifically to our target market. What’s more, it can reach all of the Australian standards necessary to operate in a quarry or mine in Australia.”

ABOUT THE MANUFACTURER

Telestack has always been renowned throughout the extractive industry for the quality of its machines.

The company was recently recognised by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service for covering recognised global standards ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety Management). This is in addition to Telestack’s aggregate existing accreditation to ISO 9001 (Quality Management).

The Telestack Integrated Management System ensures anything that has an effect on overall business performance is monitored, actioned and improved as a natural part of the business culture.

Telestack specialises in the complete design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of mobile, bulk material handling systems, and has a global proven record in a range of applications including the coal, mining and quarry industries, stockyard management, ports and inland terminals, power stations, rail yards, steel mills, cement kilns and many other bulk material handling industries.

The company’s mobile solutions offer significant operating cost savings compared with traditional methods of material handling (wheel loaders, haul trucks, static conveyors), as well as promising environmental, health and safety and other benefits. Other significant benefits include not requiring planning permission due to product mobility, and flexibility to move Telestack products to work on other projects.
