HCEA has now established a direct presence in the WA market following the exit of its longest serving dealer.
?Hyundai has always placed a strong emphasis on the Western Australian market and through our previous dealer Earthwest the Hyundai product has branched across several industries in the west, including quarrying, civil construction, mining and materials handling,? said Rob Pearson, HCEA?s marketing manager.
?With Hyundai Construction Equipment Australia now establishing a direct presence in this market, the significant investment made with our new facility, parts warehouse and bond yards represents our resolve in growing the product more in this market and providing tailored support for our customers.?
Earthwest left the construction equipment business at the end of December 2012. According to a media release issued by Hyundai CE, Earthwest?s directors decided to focus on other, unspecified business interests.
The two companies had worked together since 2005 in WA and several key appointments in the new HCEA WA team were prior employees of Earthwest.
On 2 January, 2013, HCEA opened its headquarters in WA at 174 Kewdale Road, Kewdale, Perth.
?Western Australia is a large geographical area and although we have already established a regional support network, HCEA will be expanding and opening new premises and a service centre in the west in the coming future,? Pearson said.
Pearson told Quarry that while some holdings were taken back from Earthwest, it was only a small portion of what has been injected into the region over the past month.
Owners of Hyundai equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders and skid steers, will not be affected by the changes as all standing commercial arrangements will be honoured and serviced directly by HCEA.
?Our focus has always been geared toward providing a leading earthmoving equipment solution backed by the best technical service and parts support available,? HCEA general manager David Stuart said in a statement.
?Revitalising our service and technical capacities and bolstering a healthy parts distribution supplement will be the first change our Western Australian based clients can expect to benefit from.?
