The 14-tonne TC1150 has a newly designed upper frame that accommodates all available concave liners, and the locking ring design has been improved to eliminate the need to hammer in concave retaining wedges.
The inner skirt is better protected to accommodate a larger closed side setting (CSS), and the unit also offers an increased stroke clearance, allowing for larger maximum CSS and tramp clearance.
Key features of the mantel nut include a smaller head nut, resulting in a less restrictive feed opening. Inclusion of a burning/torch ring additionally helps speed up mantle liner replacement, and the new mantle liner top collar gives easier straight lift capability, removing the need for welding on lifting lugs.
The TC1150 has a nominal cone head diameter of 1150mm and a variable speed range to suit application requirements from 1563 revolutions per minute (rpm) to 1700 rpm on the countershaft.
Operators have a choice of three concave configurations – fine, medium coarse (maximum feed size of 190mm) and extra coarse (maximum 220mm) – with a 65mm standard long throw at 224kW and an optional 50mm short throw at 186kW.
