Transmin and Flexco recently signed a global project partnership agreement, formalising a 10-year-long history of international project supply collaboration.
Under the agreement, Transmin and Flexco will have a shared customer base, with mutual quarry clients benefiting from both Transmin’s engineered bulk materials handling equipment and supplies and Flexco’s range of belt conveyor products.
“The global project partnership is valuable as it maximises the already extensive product range and support we can supply our customers,” Transmin supplies manager Matthew Brooks explained.
“Transmin and their sister company, BA Equipment Group, have a long history of supplying projects in the aggregate industry, as does Flexco. With this agreement, Transmin has access to the full range of Flexco products specifically for the aggregate market for supply in aggregate projects, including belt cleaners, mechanical belt fasteners, tooling, skirting, belt trackers, impact beds and pulley lagging.
“Using the combined capabilities of the businesses, we can offer comprehensive solutions to belt conveyors issues with the ongoing support of Flexco products for global projects.”
Flexco national sales and marketing co-ordinator Jessica Berger agreed the two companies’ product ranges complemented each other well.
“With the agreement, Flexco has a reliable partner that we can collaborate with on projects,” she said. “The agreement allows Transmin to supply our mutual customers with a holistic solution, rather than our customers seeking solutions from multiple suppliers.”
Although Flexco and Transmin are yet to work together on a quarry project, Berger said the two businesses were always looking for opportunities.
Berger added that although Transmin and BA Equipment Group offer a wide range of products to the quarrying industry, including boom systems, breakers and hydraulic attachments, the partnership would focus primarily on projects relating to bulk materials handling.
