Earlier this year, Screenmasters conducted trials with a bespoke model of the R6 impact crusher. Heavily contaminated recycled concrete was prepared to 600mm minus to produce a final product size of 20mm DGS roadbase. Approximately 28,000 tonnes was processed in just 13 days, at an average of 2100 tonnes per day.
Screenmasters worked closely with Keestrack to find a bespoke solution that required less maintenance, greater fuel efficiency and increased productivity.
The bespoke machine features a 521kW engine with a fuel consumption rate of up to 45 litres per hour. A double-deck 5m x 1.5m (16’ x 5’) heavy-duty screen was installed, which allows the end user to produce three or four final products.
A heavy-duty steel underpan feeder has been placed beneath the crusher and an independent 3.2m double-deck pre-screen positioned before the crusher to allow for greater production and less wear.
