The Lincom Group event at Divall’s Carrick Quarry in Goulburn, New South Wales, on 8 and 9 November was hailed as a success, with guests coming from as far afield as Western Australia and North Queensland.
The Powerscreen Pulse Telematics System was the highlight of the event, a new technology by Powerscreen that allows customers to view accurate and up to date information on production tonnages, fuel usage and fuel costs per tonne.
Orders for a Powerscreen Premiertrak 400 jaw crusher and a Powerscreen Chieftain 2100X two-deck screen were made on the first day.
There were live working demonstrations of Powerscreen’s Premiertrak R300 jaw crusher, Trakpactor 320SR impact crusher and Chieftain 2100X screen, the latter of which was tracked out of the pit to show its portability.
Final sizes of minus 8mm dust, 8-16mm aggregates and a 16-26.5mm aggregate were achieved by having a 40mm top deck and a 26.5mm bottom deck fitted to the 320SR.
The rock for the demonstration was a hard hornfels material, although some concrete was also fed into the crushers as part of the demonstration.
A Warrior 600 screen, Premiertrak R400 jaw crusher, Morbark 4600 XL Woodhog and Neuenhauser 3F star screen were also on display.
“Powerscreen was proud to participate in this event in partnership with Lincom Group who has been a longstanding dealer for 17 years and one we have a great relationship with,” Powerscreen’s territory sales manager Mark Ferguson said.
“Customers attending the event were able to see for themselves how our telemetry system works, and how effective it can be in remotely monitoring and controlling machine performance,” he added.
Lincom Group is planning to host another open day in 2017.
