Mobile crushers solution to fixed plant in recycling

The higher production as well as the outstanding cubicity achieved by the mobile units make recycling activities even more efficient.
The topic of environmental consequences when processing minerals and the reduction of dust emissions is of great importance and machines that are greener are an investment in the future when it comes to establishing environmental standards.
The principle of reducing the number of machines, and especially motors which power these machines, is an important factor. Having a compact machine that handles many different functions also contributes to costs savings and operational effectiveness.
Atlas Copco?s Powercrusher range includes mobile jaw crushers, impactors, cones and screens.
The Powercrusher jaw crushers have a unique toggle plate position that creates a four-phase motion in the swing jaw. This so-called ?Quattro? effect of the crusher leads to a minimising of flaky end products produced in comparison to jaw crushers that have conventional toggle plate positions. These results have been recognised using Material Sieve Distribution tests and show that when crushing 0-45mm material, the amount of ?bad? material is 31 per cent less than that produced by machines with down-thrust toggle positions.
The Powercrusher PC6 jaw crusher is one of the larger units in the range for recycling applications as well as natural stone crushing. The PC6 is a track-mounted 1300mm x 800mm crusher box with a double-deck independent pre-screen section. The pre-screen removes the fines prior to the material entering the crusher chamber, lowering wear costs and increasing the material quality. To eliminate dust emissions, the complete inlet area as well as discharge belt can be equipped with a water-powered dust suppression system.
The lone mobile cone crusher ? the PC1000 – features cones designed to accept an ?all-in? feed. This increases the particle on particle crushing, which in turn increases the quality of the end material shape, decreases wear and eliminates the need for pre-screening.
The Atlas Copco Powercrusher impactors, due to the optimised geometry of the rotor and swing beams, are highly effective in recycling. A Powercrusher impactor can be used as a primary in recycling applications, sometimes eliminating up to two machines. The quality of the end product through an impactor is superior to that produced by a jaw or a cone. Couple this with the fact that impactors can be used for asphalt and materials containing re-bar and these units offer extreme flexibility. The Atlas Copco Powercrusher PC3 has been a consistent choice in many recycling operations.
