Free guide to mine industry safety

The 2013 Mining Industry Guide to Workplace Safety has up to date and current safety information for workers and persons within the mining industry. It is distributed free of charge, and creates awareness of personal health and safety issues as well as workplace operational safety issues for all mining workers.

The guide, which is a joint publication of Pro-Visual Publishing, the Australia Mines & Metals Association and the Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre, highlights key industry issues such as personal health and well-being, hazard identification and the responsibilities of employers and employees alike.

Fatigue and bullying and harassment are prominent topics of this year?s guide. Fatigue, for example, has obvious implications for the workplace and for public safety by limiting an employee?s performance within the workplace.

The safe design of plant and equipment is another feature as well as risk control, management and monitoring.

Recipients of the guide are also able to enter a competition to win $5000.

Pro-Visual Publishing is a specialist in wall-mounted workplace health and safety and health and well-being information resource charts.
