McLanahan to launch UltraWASH modular plant at bauma 2019

Installation requires lifting the pre-assembled modules out of a shipping container, setting them in place, erecting walkways and connecting the water and electrical hoses.

After that, depending on the module, the material will be fluidised and washed, rinsed, sized and/or dewatered with McLanahan’s world-renowned washing equipment to remove any deleterious materials, dust or coatings and reduce moisture content to produce a stackable product.

With a shorter lead-time than stationary plants, the UltraWASH arrives on-site almost fully assembled in containerised modules. The modules are quick to set up and easy to assemble, so operators can begin production in a shorter time frame, compared with traditional plant construction methods.

Ease of maintenance

McLanahan’s pump trolley service platform allows the pumps to slide out from underneath the chassis for greater access when performing maintenance activities, such as changing the impellers or replacing casing liners.

Thanks to the addition of Anaconda Equipment to the McLanahan family of companies, an upgrade to a track-mounted hopper and feed conveyor is available. This upgrade provides a retractable feed conveyor to allow easier access to the feedbox and the top deck of the sizing screen when it is time for servicing. Rather than lifting personnel to the height of the feedbox to perform maintenance, the feedbox is brought to them. With the push of a button, the conveyor will retract and the feedbox will be brought closer to ground level, making it easier and safer for those performing the service.

bauma 2019 launch

From 8 – 14 April, the UltraWASH modular wash plant and UltraCRUSH modular cone crusher will be on display for the first time at at bauma 2019 in Munich, Germany.

There will also be video displays and digital presentations to showcase McLanahan’s complete range of products, including: crushing; screening; washing; classifying; sampling; and tailings management equipment.

McLanahan executives, process engineers, and sales and dealer managers from around the world will be at the booth throughout bauma to discuss how these solutions can help operators become more efficient, more productive and more profitable.

Benefits of the UltraWASH

• Shorter lead-time with modular design.
• Quick set-up time means operators can begin producing sooner.
• A variety of washing modules to suit any application.
• Conveyor-mounted flying feed fluidisation box facilitates safe, ground level servicing.
• Self-draining effluent/recycle header reduces corrosion and ensures that the unit is always ready to lift safely after shutdown.
• Safe sump access — large, hinged access doors with level entry/exit.
• Three-way adjustable sump overflow system — coarse to fine side, coarse to waste and fines to waste.
• Discharge chute sand blending gate — primary-blended plus secondary sand product streams.
• Ease of transport — eliminating equipment duplication.
